Our Beliefs

The Bible:

Written by human authors who were inspired by the Holy Spirit for all people to know, believe and be saved by God. It is absolute truth and relevant to every area of our lives. 2 Tim. 3:15-17; Heb. 4:12.

The One True God:

God is Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Deut. 6:4; Mark 12:29; Matt. 28:19.

Jesus:

Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is equal with the Father and the Holy Spirit. We believe in His virgin Birth, in His sinless life, in His Miracles, in His death by crucifixion, in His burial, in His resurrection, in His Ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory. Matt. 1:22,23; Is 9:6; Jn 1:1-5; Eph 1:3; Phil 2:5-11.

Salvation:

The free gift of God offered to man by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, whose atoning Blood was shed on the Cross for the forgiveness of sins. Rom. 3:24; Eph. 2:8.

The Holy Spirit:

The Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and the Son as God. He lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation and is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He provides Christians with power and guidance for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and power for effective service. Acts 1:8; 2 Cor. 3:17; Gal 5:22-24.

Marriage And The Family:

Marriage is a provision of God whereby a man and a woman enter into a covenant relationship through a marriage ceremony that is recognized by the Church and legally sanctioned by the state. Marriage provides the family with unity of purpose, fellowship and procreation. Gen.1:27,28; 2:20-24.

Water Baptism:

An ordinance of the Church symbolizing to the world a believer’s union with Jesus Christ and decision to walk in newness of life. Matt 3:13-17; Matt. 28:19; Acts 10:47-48.

Tithing:

Tithing is a principle taught in the Scriptures. By tithing we recognize that everything we own and have achieved comes from God. With gratefulness and obedience we pay our tithes and give offering in commitment and support of God’s Church. (Mal. 3:10; Mat. 23:23, 1 Cor. 16:1,2; Pre-Mosaic Law: Gen. 14:17-24; Gen. 28:22)

The Life of the Believer:

Is to be like Jesus in character, growth and service. Luke 2:52, John 8:31.
